May 15th & 16th | Berlin
RLI Managing Directors Kathrin Goldammer and Christine Kühnel will be taking part in various panel discussions at this year’s Berlin Energy Days. Under the motto “Solutions for the Energy Transition in Germany”, the flagship event of the energy transition in Germany will take place digitally from April 16-18 and in presence in Berlin on May 15 and 16.
On May 15, Kathrin will moderate a discussion round of the Berlin Climate Protection Council with representatives from Berlin politics on the topic of “Efficiency Strategy for Berlin”. Kathrin is the spokesperson for the Climate Protection Council. The discussion will focus on the state of energy efficiency in Berlin in the various sectors. The panelists will also talk about existing data and data gaps as well as simple tasks that should be tackled first by policymakers when it comes to energy efficiency.
Christine will be joining three other experts on May 16 to discuss the topic “Society as a whole can only work together – a gender-equitable energy transition”. The participants will talk about factors that contribute to the success of a gender-equitable energy transition, such as parity, participation and communication strategies. Beforehand, Christine will give a keynote speech entitled “Parity in energy research – here’s how”.
Each year, the Energy Days bring together more than 500 speakers. Around 100 events, conferences and workshops will take place, organized by different institutions from the energy, construction, housing, climate protection and environmental sectors.
The co-organizers of the Energy Days include several federal ministries, numerous umbrella, federal and environmental associations from relevant sectors, energy service providers and companies, scientific institutions, public institutions and other institutions that play a key role in shaping the discourse on the energy transition and climate protection in Germany.
The Energy Days are aimed at anyone interested in participating in the energy transition. Workshops and lectures are free of charge, but registration is required in advance.
