AGYA Evening Event Global Berlin in the 21st Century

On May 11 at 6:30 pm, Philipp Blechinger, Head of the Research Unit Off-Grid Systems at RLI and Zakia Soomauroo, researcher in the same unit will give a presentation on Urban Smart Mobility Concepts in Berlin. The talk is part of an AGYA evening event with a highlight presentation of the interdisciplinary research project ‘Global Berlin in the 21st Century’ and a public panel discussion at the Humboldt Forum in Berlin.
AGYA members and alumni from renowned Berlin institutions and Arab countries will provide new insights about Berlin on topics such as urban health, transformation dynamics, sustainable mobility and cultural education.
The public panel discussion ‘BERLIN GLOBAL – GLOBAL BERLIN’ with high-ranking representatives of Berlin`s political, academic, and cultural landscape will illuminate different perspectives of the city.
In a guided tour through the interactive exhibition ‘BERLIN GLOBAL’ of the Humboldt Forum, you can learn how the city and its people are connected to the world.
The core program of the event (18:00 – 20:30 CET) will also be streamed live on the AGYA YouTube channel.
The AGYA is a cooperation existing since 2013 between the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and the Arabian Gulf University in Bahrain. It is the world’s first bilateral Young Academy and is supported mainly by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Qatar Foundation.
