Symposium: Potentials of on-site supply

Editha Kötter, head of the research unit Transformation of Energy Systems at RLI, and Philipp Blechinger, head of the research unit Off-Grid Systems, will give presentations at the conference on the topic Potentials of On-Site Supply of the Reiner Lemoine Foundation and the Fraunhofer Cluster of Excellence “Integrated Energy Systems” (CINES) on March 29. The event will focus on the use of local flexibilities and the role of neighborhoods in the climate-neutral electricity system.

In the context of the topic of local energy transition, various questions will be highlighted through presentations and a workshop. These include, for example, “What innovations are there?” and “Where do the potentials of on-site systems continue to face major challenges?” Editha will talk about “On-site supply and distribution networks” while Philipp will look at “On-site supply from an international perspective”.

The latest study results from energy research as well as expert perspectives from different sectors will also be included in the conference and discussions.
