Philipp Blechinger, head of RLI’s research unit Off-Grid Systems will participate in a panel discussion at the UN Climate Change Conference COP 27. The discussion on “Green Hydrogen, Energy Transition and the Future of STEM Education in the Arab Region and Europe” will be hosted by the Arab-German Young Academy (AGYA). The event will take place hybrid, on-site in Egypt and online.

AGYA will have its own booth at COP 27, to showcase interdisciplinary projects on implementation measures for green energy, urban mobility and innovative agriculture. This includes two projects in which the RLI was involved: a workshop on sustainable urban mobility or the solar4food project on solar thermal dehydrators.

Philipp is a member of AGYA , a bilateral academy that supports cooperation between young Arab and German scientists. It is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), among others.
