April 17 | online

Jonathan Amme, researcher in the research unit Transformation of Energy Systems at RLI, will give an online presentation on “StEmp tools” at the Energy Days.

StEmp tools are digital, interactive web tools that visually present energy transition topics and make decisions and their consequences transparent.

As part of the “building-dialogue” project, RLI scientists are developing a stakeholder empowerment (StEmp) tool as part of a consortium. It is intended to show ways to decarbonize the building sector and increase the acceptance of building renovations among owners in order to increase the renovation rate.

Jonathan will also talk about the Digiplan visualization tool, an interactive app for simulating future regional energy systems with energy generation, consumption and sector coupling. Users can see, for example, how many people live in the municipalities, how much electricity comes from renewable energies, how many wind turbines there are and what areas are needed to achieve expansion targets.

The Energy Days bring together over 500 speakers every year. Around 100 events, conferences and workshops are held, which are co-designed by various institutions from the energy, construction, housing, climate protection and environmental sectors. Under the motto “Solutions for the energy transition in Germany”, the flagship event of the energy transition in Germany will take place digitally from April 16 to 18 and on site in Berlin on May 15 and 16.

RLI Managing Directors Kathrin Goldammer and Christine Kühnel will also be taking part in various panel discussions at this year’s Berlin Energy Days.

Workshops and presentations are free of charge, but registration is required in advance.
