Lee Haug was Head of the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems from September 2020 until April 2022. Lee is a civil engineer and has been particularly involved in the project planning and operation of wind farms in recent years.

Lee brought more than 14 years of practical experience from various energy and infrastructure projects to RLI. Since 2006, Lee has been working as a civil and project engineer and as such has been in charge of hydraulic and steel construction projects, offshore and onshore wind farms and photovoltaic projects. Most recently, Lee was responsible for the technical management of wind farms at TANDEM GmbH in Bremen. Lee also has further training as a welding engineer and is authorized to submit building documents.

Lee completed studies in European Construction Management at the Jade Hochschule (formerly Fachhochschule Oldenburg-Ostfriesland-Wilhelmshaven) in Oldenburg and at Politechnika Szczecińska in Stettin. Lee is fluent in English and Polish and enjoys paddling and hiking.
