Daniel Rüdt
M.Sc. Industrial Engineering and Management (TU Berlin)
Former student assistant
Info
Daniel Rüdt has been a student assistant in the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems at RLI from June 2023 until February 2024. He was enrolled in the master's degree program industrial engineering and management with a specialisation in electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. At the RLI, Daniel supported the team by analysing the spatial requirements of different EU decarbonization scenarios with the open-source optimisation model PyPSA-Eur.
Daniel holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering and management from TU Berlin. In particular, he focused his studies on topics of the energy transition and was engaged in modelling of high-resolution electricity demands in Germany. Next to his work at RLI, he was working on his master’s thesis at TU Berlin in which he was analysing transformation pathways of a grid-friendly hydrogen network infrastructure in Germany with PyPSA-Eur.
