Sophie-Marie Fischer was working as a volunteer in context of the Federal Volunteer Service in the RLI Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy from September 2020 until the end of August 2021. She worked at RLI for one year. During her volunteer service, she gained new experience, gained insights into the work in the ecological field and found inspiration for her future career path. She graduated from high school in June 2020 (Abitur).
