Former student assistant

Info

Andreas wrote his thesis in the RLI Redearch Field “Transformation of Energy Systems” in the “Smart Power Flow” project. It focused on the implementation of a Community Energy Storage (CES) in the low voltage distribution grid in order to minimize costs of traditional grid expansion and to quantify the benefits of energy storages. This was achieved by comparing the CES’ contribution to grid services and support in a supposedly likely renewables expansion pathway in a MATLAB power flow calculation and simulation. Andreas holds a Diploma in Environmental Engineering from Stuttgart University and he worked in the project management of international PV projects before starting his postgraduate studies in Renewable Energy systems at TU Berlin.
