Adeleye Adetunji was a guest researcher at RLS Graduate School at RLI from April until the end of June 2022. He is a PhD candidate in Energy economics at the Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering research unit in University of Oulu, Finland.

He conducted his master’s thesis in environmental economics but due to his interest in smart grids and energy transition to a decentralized energy system he pursued doctoral research in Energy economics. His thesis topic is assessment of the flexibility in the Finnish energy system by evaluating the economic and environmental impact of demand response in the Finnish energy mix. His research interests focus on energy system flexibility, energy policy, smart energy systems, demand response and energy system modeling.

Adeleye is student member of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE), and an Associate member of Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria (ISMN).
