Catalina Peña was a project assistant in the Off-Grid Team at RLI from February 2023 until September 2023. Before that, she had already working as a federal volunteer in the same research area from April 2022 to September 2022.

Catalina holds bachelor's degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, a master's degree in electrical engineering from the same university and a specialization in Electricity and Gas Regulation from the Universidad Externado de Colombia.
