Malte Petersen has been a student assistant in the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems at RLI from July until September 2018. He was enrolled in the bachelor's degree program Environmental Studies/Renewable Energies at University of Applied Sciences Berlin. In context of his work for the project open_FRED, he wrote a thesis developing a model of energy feed-in from photovoltaics and wind power in Germany.
