Christoph Muschner has been a researcher in the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems at RLI since September 2020. Before occupying his current role, he worked as a student assistant in the same Research Unit. Within the scope of his work at RLI, he completed his master’s thesis on the topic "An Open Source Energy Modelling Framework Comparison of OSeMOSYS and oemof" within the project open_MODEX.

In his master's degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering at KTH - Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, he focused on energy systems optimisation modelling and dynamics of climate policy and transformation processes in energy markets and industries. Christoph holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Berlin.
