Julian Endres has been a student assistant in the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems at the RLI since June 2019.

He is enrolled in the bachelor’s program Energy & Process Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin; there he is working on his thesis at the Department of Energy and Resource Management in which he develops a model for the classification of regions based on energy economic indicators – a building block for research in the Kopernikus project ENavi. At the RLI he supports the team Transformation of Energy Systems in the project Windnode.

During his Bachelor of Energy & Process Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin, he was particularly concerned with the physical basics of energy transformation as well as the economic and political framework. He has already participated in international projects for the construction of renewable energy plants in Italy and Senegal. In addition to his work at RLI and the TU Berlin, he is involved in the association "Sunrise Collective - Association for Sustainable Development e.V.", which is active in the field of development cooperation as well as clarifying critical aspects in this field.
