Michail Markakis has been a student assistant in the RLS Graduate School EnergieSystemWende since September 2020. He supports the RLS Graduate School in the theme cluster of Sustainable Mobility, in close cooperation with the Workgroup for Infrastructure Policy (WIP) at TU Berlin. Michail is enrolled in the MBA Sustainable Mobility Management at TU Berlin. In context of his work for the project Sustainable Mobility Scenarios in Germany, he is writing his master's thesis, defining sustainable mobility scenarios for the German passenger transport sector, which contain distinct political, behavioral infrastructural, and other measures that affect mode choice and mobility demand.
Michail holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During the last two years of his studies, he specialized in Transportation, Project Management, and Development. He also gained experience working on transport infrastructure planning in the private sector.
