Ph.D. Energy Engineering (TU Berlin)

Former Guest Researcher

Info

Saeed Sayadi had been a guest researcher in the RLI Research Unit Off-Grid Systems from March 2021 until August 2023. His research focused on modeling and optimizing energy systems, dynamic applications of exergy-based methods, and developing exergy-based model predictive controllers. Within the Research Unit at RLI, he was responsible for creating an open-source tool for off-grid electricity supply optimization.

Saeed's professional background includes positions as a project engineer/coordinator in engineering companies in the energy sector and as a researcher at TU Berlin and RWTH Aachen.

Saeed holds a Ph.D. in engineering about "Dynamic exergy-based methods for improving the operation of building energy systems" at the Technical University of Berlin. He received his master's degree in Process, Energy, and Environmental Systems Engineering (PEESE) from TU Berlin and his bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the K. N. Toosi University of Technology in Tehran, Iran.

Besides his research at RLI, he worked as a research associate at the Technical University of Berlin, Institute for Energy Engineering. Saeed speaks fluently Farsi, English, and German.
