Sarah-Juliane Starre had been a student assistant in the Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy at RLI from March 2022 until July 2023. She was enrolled in the Master's program Urban Geographies - Human Geography at the Humboldt University of Berlin - and wrote her Master’s thesis in the RLI-project E-MetroBus, in which she dealt with spatial planning and evaluation of charging infrastructure for electric buses in Berlin.

Sarah holds a bachelor's degree in geography, also from HU Berlin and was already a student assistant in the Research Unit of Mobility with Renewable Energy from October 2018 to September 2020. As part of her collaboration, she wrote a bachelor thesis in which she used a multi-criteria, GIS-based potential analysis to investigate municipalities in rural areas of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern that are suitable for electrification of motorized private transport.

In addition to her work at RLI, she had been employed at the Department of Geography at HU Berlin in the Economic Geography department since June 2020.
