30.8. | Lecture for the Scandria Alliance

August 30 | Online

Marcus Schober, research associate in the research area Mobility with Renewable Energies, will give a presentation for the Scandria Alliance as part of the webinar: “Heavy vehicles on their way to the hydrogen highway?”.

In his presentation, Marcus will talk about “Hydrogen in heavy road transport in Germany”. The participants of the webinar will look at the drivers and barriers for hydrogen refueling stations. These represent a crucial component in the transition to sustainable heavy goods transport.

The Scandinavian-Adriatic Corridor (abbreviation Scandria Corridor) is a geographical (transport and spatial development) corridor stretching from Oslo and Helsinki, via Stockholm, Berlin and Vienna, to the northern Adriatic Sea, covering more than a dozen metropolitan regions with about 100 million inhabitants.

In 2019, leading political representatives from six cities and regions along the corridor signed an agreement to establish the Scandria Alliance. The network helps cities and regions to work together on climate-friendly multimodal transport connectivity at the interface of sustainable regional development.
