Sonakshi Saluja was a Guest Researcher within the unit Mobility with Renewable Energy at RLI for a year beginning March 2022. She was an International Climate Protection Fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. During her stay, she analyzed the obstacles and solutions in the development of electric vehicles (EVs) in India by evaluating German implementation policies. For her research, she explored viable and sustainable financing options suitable for Indian context, and aims to establish knowledge transfer between the two countries in the field of technical capacities and infrastructures. She also supported research at RLI by working on improvements to Germany’s EV policy framework. In the past seven years of her work experience, she has worked to develop better research initiatives in the field of sustainable and renewable energy, air pollution, WASH, education, gender, and livelihood in India.
Sonakshi holds a master’s degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India and a bachelor’s in Economics from University of Delhi.
