Jörn Schirok has been a research associate in the research unit Mobility with Renewable Energiy at RLI since February 2022. He mainly deals with the processing and analysis of geodata as well as measures for the design of the mobility transition. In the research unit Mobility with Renewable Energy he is responsible for the projects "Klimaplan Brandenburg" and a project on the design of the mobility transition in the neighborhoods of the Berlin housing associations.
Jörn was a research assistant in the field of sustainable energy technology at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. He also gained work experience in a novel food startup and at the music festival Fusion.
Jörn holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the FU Berlin, an M.A. in Economic and Social Geography from the University of Osnabrück, and a Master in Spatial Planning with a focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from FCSH Nova in Lisbon. His thesis in GIS focused on point data modeling.
In addition to his work at the RLI, he is involved with the Netzwerk Plurale Ökonomik e.V. Jörn is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese in addition to his native German.
