Abstract — Hydrogen power plants will secure the electricity supply in the future if renewable energies are not able to do so completely. However, hydrogen power plants are not yet commercially available, which is why so-called H2-ready power plants are to be built first with political incentives. Aside from that, H2-ready has not yet been clearly defined. The study provides a basis of information on the topic of "H2-ready power plants". The aim is to show what H2 readiness means in technical and regulatory terms.
