25.6. | WZB Symposium on the integrative mobility transition

Zakia Soomauroo, researcher in the Off-Grid Systems research area at RLI, will participate in the symposium of the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB) on the integrative mobility transition.

In a session entitled “Social Inclusion and Modal Shift in Everyday Mobility”, she will present the results of the RLI project FAIRberlin. Among other things, Zakia will provide insights into the obstacles to mobility faced by FLINTA citizens in Berlin and their life experiences. A particular focus will be on how identities and different people experience mobility, which can facilitate the path to a long-term sustainable mobility transition by focusing on citizens.

The scientific symposium “Research on the integrative mobility transition” will create a platform to promote interaction and communication between scientists conducting research in the field of mobility transition and transformative measures. It offers an opportunity for intensive discussion of research work on mobility from different disciplines and perspectives.
