oemof User and Developer Meeting

May 7^th–9^th | Magdeburg

At the upcoming oemof User and Developer Meeting in Magdeburg, RLI will once again be represented by a number of developers.For the first time, the meeting will be split into a User and a Developer Meeting. However, participants are welcome to attend both.

The User Meeting takes place on May 8^th only, and is directed at mere users of the framework, meaning those that use oemof primarily as a tool for their work and are less interested in expanding or improving its functions. The User Meeting’s agenda is available at GitHub.

The Developer Meeting takes place May 7^th–9^th and focuses on the organization of collaborative programming as well as more in-depth and further development of oemof functionalities. The Developer Meeting takes place every sixth months and is the oemof community’s most important workshop.

The Open Energy Modeling Framework (oemof) is a modeling tool for the analysis of different energy systems. RLI contributed significantly to the development of the open-source software. The software is of modular and adaptable design, allowing it to be composed and configured as needed. It is therefore well suited for studies across different sectors.

All those who wish to use oemof or wish to incorporate their ideas on the further development of the framework are invited to connect at the meeting, to introduce their applications, and to answer open questions.
