September 20th 2016 – Berit Müller, Head of the RLI research field “Transformation of Energy Systems”, becomes spokeswoman of the initial consortium “Smart Energy Ostdeutschland – SmEnOs” (Smart Energy East Germany). She is going to be in charge of organizing the forum and hosting a final workshop at the end of the project, were key findings will be summarized and prospects for future cooperation will be presented. In this function, she follows Solar Valley CEO Dr. Hans-Joachim Krokoszinski.
The Forum SmartEnergy Ostdeutschland is funded in context of the program „Zwanzig20 – Partnerschaft für Innovation“ of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Its purpose is to promote exchange about current research questions between different stakeholders, resulting from the necessary integration of renewable energies. The forum aims at a sustainable energy supply in Eastern Germany without negative consequences for climate, nature, and resources. It should be socially fair, legally compliant, and should offer the region an economic perspective. To reach these goals, the competent open network discusses relevant topics in an interdisciplinary discourse.
