Paul Bertheau, researcher from the unit Off-Grid Systems at RLI, will participate in this year’s INNOWEEK conference in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The German-Uzbek Science Day will also be held as part of the conference. There, Paul will give a lecture and present the project HyRECA. In this project, RLI is building a research network with partner organizations to investigate the potential of green hydrogen in a gaseous state in Central Asia. The theme of the session is “Pathways for a Green Central Asia: science for the advancement of a sustainable future.”

The INNOWEEK conference is held once a year in Uzbekistan and has become the largest international event for research and innovation in the region. The organizing Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation (MHESI) is the main partner of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in scientific and technological cooperation with the country.

The participation in INNOWEEK 2023 aims to promote networking between research and innovation actors from Germany and Uzbekistan, as well as to promote Germany as a research location. In addition, knowledge transfer and new research collaborations are encouraged through targeted contacts.
