Anne Schalling will speak on the topic of hydrogen at the virtual event of the German Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies (VDE) “H2 total system integration in practice – where is it stuck?” on July 5th.
Anne, researcher in the RLI research unit Mobility with Renewable Energy, will present a study on decentralized electrolysers that the RLI prepared last year on behalf of Greenplanet Energy. In a subsequent discussion, Anne debates with hydrogen experts Andrea Appel (VDE) and Pia Hille (NextKraftwerke) about the grid-serving integration of electrolysers.
The RLI study “Grid-serving hydrogen production. Study on the benefits of small, decentralized electrolysers”, which Anne will present, shows, among other things, that decentralized electrolysers use local surpluses from wind and solar power in a way that is economically advantageous for the production of green hydrogen. They can be operated economically in many grid areas throughout Germany. Anne will discuss these findings with webinar participants during the event.
The webinar is part of a VDE series of events on hydrogen.
More information on the event and registration is available on the VDE website.
