22.–23. 05. | Annual Meeting of the Research Network Energy System Analysis

May 23rd – 24th 2019 | Aachen

At the annual meeting of the research network Energy System Analysis, the RLI Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems will be represented with four workshops:

Ludwig Hülk will organize and host the workshops “Development of OpenEnergyOntology” and “How to open science and collaborative work”. Both workshops revolve around the RLI research project SzenarienDB, in which a publicly accessible database is created and filled with data for modeling energy systems. The two workshops will also focus on Open Data and collaborative work.

In the workshop “Comparison of open-source frameworks in energy system analysis”, Elisa Förster will present the project Open_MODEX, in which five open-source frameworks will be compared with each other. Elisa will discuss and extend the theoretical concept for the model comparison with the workshop participants.

The fourth workshop, which will also be hosted by Elisa, will deal with the Stakeholder Empowerment Tool (StEmp-Tool) developed by RLI in context of the ENavi project. This tool is intended to actively involve all stakeholders in energy system transition in planning processes. The tool’s lastest version will be tested in this workshop.

In addition to Ludwig and Elisa, Mascha Richter, Jonathan Amme, and Editha Kötter will also participate in the annual meeting of the research network Energy System Analysis.

The meeting is organized and hosted by Projektträger Jülich on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). The Network Energy System Analysis has been founded by BMWi to promote the research field and connect all involved parties. Another goal is to make the modeling projects more transparent.
